I went ahead and bit the bullet and purchased a Tanks Inc EFI fuel tank and all the stuff to install the first half of my EFI swap. Still remaining with carbs until I gather money for the second round in the engine bay. I thought they would send a fuel tank tube seal at least with the tank but they didn't. I didn't think to buy one. The one I have on the car is about a decade old. A little stiff but not original. Any tips and tricks to soften it a bit to make it malleable for removal? I live in Europe and this isn't a part I can just call and have on my doorstep 2 days later

I ended up putting my REMS heating element for soldering copper pipes in the orifice and heated it up to make it more pliable. I think I replaced it about 10 years ago so it was still in good condition

as to the new seal/grommet for fuel tanks, some repo's fit, others do not !
i ran into this when i replaced the tank on my charger a couple of years ago.
just something all should be aware of.
unfortunately, i can't remember which grommet i ended up using, and the source of the grommet that didn't fit. both had the correct part numbers on them, and looked identical, visually.
