I have the stroker engine bug now, I want to redo the 440 in my 85 4x4. It's more of worker truck than my Ramcharger, but it needs more oomph. A cummins is a bolt in swap to this truck, but they're murder on the gasser frames and
the suspension, plus they sink really well in the mud.

It took over a year to get all the parts for my 505, so I need to start shopping soon.

The truck is 4x4, 4 speed, 4.10 gears, will be on 38's soon.
The engine is a 77 440 that is .030 over. I will do all the stuff I did to the 505 like bushed lifter bores. It already has studded mains and a windage tray.
I want to do a 528 this time, but I would like to be up to or over 700 ft/lbs this time.
The build list
-Roller cam, thinking solid this time, will they hold up on the street? I can put a little more cam I think than the 505 has.
- Had good luck with the ootb TF 270's, but willing to look at something else. I would stay max wedge size, it seems to work well down on big engines.
- steel roller rockers
- would like to keep it on regular gas or mid grade at worst.

-I could do another dual plane but I am also quite capable of building a tunnel ram for it. All modern engines are running wrap around tunnel rams these days, what would be a good runner length and
plenum size for a 528 engine with max wedge ports with a 4000 rpm torque peak goal? I have a few spare stand alone ECU's around that I could fuel inject it as well.
- 2" header again.

If the exhaust port location doesn't matter much in a truck application, a higher port probably helps with header construction giving more space to the front shocks, would I want to go to a 440-1 head on this build over a CNC port ez? Reading lots of old posts on here, the -1 is good for 30 ish more hp.
