I generally use fragola but a friend opened up a speed shop close to my house and he carries vibrant and red horse fittings. If I mixed those brands up with frogola I would have no way of knowing. The threads on the fragola parts are actually not quite as good as the others.

I don't want the car to catch on fire because of junk parts. But I want the guy to race. So...any real experiences with this crap. OK? Recycled pop cans? Threads jacked up? Hose looks like a lawn sprinkle? Tell me it's trash and I'll put my preferred brand on it and deal with it.

Your work is your calling card...when these fittings fail it will never be brought up that the owner purchased cheap parts for you to put on only that you build it with cheap parts. I do not use questionable quality parts...if you/they cant afford it, don't do it. I have never regretted using quality parts...Ever! twocents

The only Amazon / Evil Energy hose and fittings I have on my Cuda are for the breathers coming off of the valve covers to a puke can. I felt that was low-risk. I wouldnt use them on engine coolant or fuel - but I have no first hand experience of failures.

I DO have Jeg's house brand hoses and fittings on my fuel supply and return, and they have held up fine with no leaks for years.
Maybe this stuff is all made in the same building by 7 year old Chinese kids these days.. who knows.

iagree I wouldn't use the cheap stuff. I've had them that the swivel fittings were either real loose or tight and bind up. Scary.
I've been using Red Horse Performance fittings lately b/c my local machine shop has a ton of them on the shelf. Good stuff. up

O Ring Boss or ORB fitting. A lot of fuel regulators use these, I have had no issues with the ones I've used.

ORB fittings, not a problem. Aeromotive requires them in places. I've ran them

"No name Amazon" fittings? I wouldn't ever think about

Nothing wrong with an ORB fitting but not sure I would ever run one from Amazon.....

ORB allows for a cleaner and tighter looking assembly. The thread pitch is the same as the JIC/AN fittings. A -6 JIC/AN male fitting is the same as a -6 ORB

Using ORB instead of NPT keeps you from using thread sealant since they are straight threads and the o-ring provides the seal. Any mfg that sells ORB fittings will fit and work without issue into a ORB port of the same size.
