Things are starting to become like Covid times with Automotive parts.. If you also need crank rods or pistons I would be ordering them now because I have been told the wait could be into the fall for some parts. Experienced workers are hard to fin dnot a days so manufacting has slowed, and some times the company has stopped offering some services suh as a source to rebuild some roller lifters.Eddy Jr. Heads you might want to buy any that are available now.or email/phone to see when they could be built. I got luck for a friend and just happen to be at a warehouse that had 61175s in stock and I picked them up for him and have not studied what they are but sounds like they are the good ones but he intends to change Springs and Retainers. Not sure what is even on them for springs and retainers. Still gathering parts for this build and likely will not get what he needs for 6 month or more. Another reason why buying off FHO or RBE might be more money but they seem to control invertory much better.

There has been a recent issue with the Victor Jr. Hemi heads that I suspect is the reason for no availability - the final machine work on the chambers apparently was off slightly and the chambers on some heads were not lining up with the bores - creating a slight interference issue. I have had a set on order for a while and its been a couple of months - but if you do find a set - have them checked for bore spacing. They are a great design of a head that was somewhat based off the original canfield head - which is now the INDY HiPo heads. Thank you very much for this information. I would like to use the HiPo head, but I am not sure about using the raised exhaust port with iron manifolds in a Cuda with stock bellhousing, power steering, stock k member... The Eddie heads are listed as having stock exhaust port position. Thanks Craig

It's not exactly the stock exhaust position but I've never heard of anyone having a problem. The Victor Jr's are what you want.

I've always heard Edelbrock had close to the lowest profit margin in the industry, which didn't give much incentive to keep them in stock even for higher volume sellers.
But that was decades ago, maybe it's all changed now.

Just don't buy them bare because that means they don't have a valve job and unless you have a good man for that it can get ugly.

The heads I got were 'open box' which is a bit disappointing, and maybe were used in a partial mock up before... Do you happen to know the date range that might have had the problem? Thanks Craig
