Does anyone know what the difference is between a 6.4 out of a 2014 2500 pickup vs a 6.4 out of a 2014 3500 cab and chassis? thanks, Jim

They're the same engine. Both are BGE blocks. The cab/chassis engine might be a lower hp "rating" , but that's just limiting the rpm for the Aisin trans

IT does show a different part number in reman catalogs, and most are weeks out when trying to order one. The truck does have Aisan trans tho.

I think they didn't have MDS and RPM was limited. They are the same heads, pistons, block... Put it in a normal 2500 or something and it will run just the same but no MDS.
