Was looking thru this diagram and noticed this problem. Hope no-one was using this to set up their distributor firing order. (pic)

Could it be a looking up vs looking down?

This, maybe.

Connector views are generally done looking into the Connector. If you consider a distributor cap a Connector, this is ok.

From a 1969 factory manual which would confirm your findings, that the illustration appears to be NOT correct.

Is this a generic generic wiring diagram of some sort?

It is perfectly correct for these modern times when so many do things backwards. Its the Uncle Tony version. shruggy

Yeah, And if you spell "A Toyota" backwards it's still "A Toyota."

Either way, my question is was this drawn from scratch or scanned from a factory manual?

IMO it looks way too much like a factory drawing to me if you compare it to the illustration I posted right down to the arrow pointing to the condenser.

Are you sure as mentioned this is not for a boat engine? But it would NOT have STOP LIGHTS if for boats as far as I know boats don't have stop or brake lights wink laugh2

It's from a '69 Barracuda wiring manual.
