I'm trying to get started on doing some pod casting about life choices, our current problems with society and some cures for some of those ills and solving cars problems also. If your doing a pod cast now or know someone who is I am looking for advice on what brand and model number parts to use and who they are doing their podcast with Thanks in advance on all of your help

CAB, I take you plan on doing this on you tube? If so have you looked into the things they allow and dont allow? I believe you would have very good input on life choices however the TUBE is pretty restrictive on things that are not current in todays world so if your anti anything or even what many would call old fashioned I wonder how that would go. Remember its google at the core and currently they cant even get there AI to be unbiased/ non mainstream. When you get it set up please let us know

If your doing a pod cast now or know someone who is I am looking for advice on what brand and model number parts to use and who they are doing their podcast with Thanks in advance on all of your help I just picked up a Blue Yeti (Logitech) microphone to help up my audio game. The best setup is a arm with shock mount and then the mic and a pop filter. Usually people run things through an application called 'Audacity'. And I have used it in the past, but I upgraded my video program DaVinci Resolve to the premium version and it has pretty good audio stuff built in. The Blue Yeti is a good mic for a reasonable cost and will give you pretty good results. I know a few podcasters that used it starting out, or still use it.

I cant help with component recommendations but being a fan of podcasts I know when a micro phone is too far away from the mouth of the person/persons speaking- the audio is too quiet no matter how high the volume setting. A podcast I like has a desk top microphone on the table centrally locate in front of two seated guys and its hard to hear either of them.

I appreciate all of you helping me on this, I would like to get it right on all the hardware parts the first time, not have to buy them 2 or 3 times. It has been a long time since I've done any public speeches or marketing presentation, hopefully with enough planning and preparations I will be helpful and clear on what I'm trying to say Thanks again: Cab

Please be very aware when doing any broadcast outside- the sound of the wind blowing across the microphone is like nails on a chalkboard times 1000!
