When selling parts how long do you wait for a money order from a person you agree to a deal on before you just sell the parts to someone else?

It's now been three weeks and now I can't get the buyer to respond to me.
He was promised to mail a money order on February 19th, that didn't happen and then said it would go out on the 28th.
Still no money order and he hasn't responded to any messages.

Someone else wants the parts and will PayPal the money right now.

I'm trying to be fair to the first guy, but it's getting old waiting to see if anything will actually show up.

Sell it to the paypal guy. If, lol, a money order eventually arrives send it back.

You waited long enough.

I suppose you could contact the 1st guy, but you may just get a story, and sit on the part forever waiting.

I sold a complete k-frame and brake set-up to a friend and he sent out the check right away on the 19th also, still no check. I have been in contact with him and he will Paypal me instead and cancel the check. If there was no communication I would have moved on by now, if you can't get a hold of him then it is on him...

The money order guy clearly couldnt come up with the money and has ghosted you

the crappy post office probably lost it on the poor guy...

i only sell money order as a last resort.

Might believe that if the buyer was responsive, OP says the guy is not responding,

sell it its been long enough&no contact.

The guy is 77 and old school, no PayPal.

I want to be fair and not feel like I never gave him a chance.

I recently sold some parts to a guy on one of the other web sites, and it took 12 days to get his money order to me, thru the postal service, from TN. to me out here in Commiefornia.
If you don't trust your buyer, move on, and sell to someone else.

I pay for parts on here and another Mopar site with a USPS money order 99% of the time. A long time ago, I got in the habit of asking for the sellers cell number and texting them a pic of the money order filled out in their name before I drop it in the mail. But, unlike the buyer that is the subject of this post.....I'm fanatical and OCD as hell about paying quickly. Knock on wood, I've never had one get lost in the mail.

I've been more than fair waiting and now I can't get you to respond. I'm guessing that you still haven't mailed out the money order.
There are other people that keep contacting me wanting the emblems.


And the message that I just sent just a few minutes ago.
Since I'm not getting any response, I'm guessing that either you changed your mind on wanting the emblems or something else.
At this point I'll be selling them to someone else.

Taking time to get it is one thing. Ignoring you at the same time is something else.
I'll admit that I can be slow at things at times but I always keep up with communication.
If it was last Thursday you last talked to the guy I'd wait to the end of the week and move on.
