What was the correct color pie tin used on a 1969 383 'Cuda. There are red ones and orange ones out there? Thanx.

Google "1969 'Cuda engine compartment photos", and maybe the answer is there. Also you can check 1969 Plymouth brochures here.My '69 Barracuda 340-S came with a red one, but somehow I bought an orange one. BTDT.

This is a 1970 440 pie tin, I guess that all tins were red until 1970 then orange afterwards. I know for a fact that 383 FOUR BARREL in RED is for all 67-69 383 Darts. I guess 383 SUPER COMMANDO would be red for 67-69 Barracuda's...

ALL 1969 pie tins should be RED Oh boy. There are numerous references that the color for a Roadrunner pie tin changed from red to orange during the '69 model year.

I doubt that tin is original, I still have the original tin from my 69 GTS 383 I bought in 1978 and am the second owner. It has scratches, a couple of bent edges, and lots of marks where the nut goes on. I don't see any of that in the pic you posted... Besides, colors never come out right on film.

Okay, the pie tin color on a 1969 383 Dart should be red. What should the lettering be?
