Typical henprick driver nonsense. Idiots.

Add in Chastain. As expected.

And the two idiots that cause the big accident taking out most contenders, finish 1-2

NASCAR was getting nervous with only one crash late into the race -

But then they were happy down

That's what Nascar has become and pretty much why I stopped watching it several years ago. Restrictor plates don't allow the cars to separate so they bunch up for 475 miles and then try to jockey for position when there's no place to go.

I'd tune in to watch the big crash. That is pretty much the only reason to watch NASCAR these days. They put on some great "crash scenes". Not much real racing before the big crash, pretty much a waste of a few hours. When I have nothing better to do, I get in a great NASCAR nap and watch the last 50 laps.

Who knew NASCAR was still a thing? It's been in a continual decline for ages, but with racing in stages, it makes the first 2/3 of the race irrelevant and one only need the last ten laps of the last stage to watch the 'real 'race.' Everything before the last ten laps is just filler between commercials.

Did you notice that some of the cars had the HP on the hood like the old days? But it has to be pretty embarrassing to put 500 something HP on the hood when you can buy a car with a lot more horsepower than that from the dealer.

The cars are boring and fugly (those center lug wheels, barf), the drivers are boring, the races are boring...

I built a lot of NASCAR plastic models kits when when I was a kid: Petty and others Chargers, Donahue AMC, the Labonte Piedmont Airlines car, Elliiot Coors T-bird, etc, etc. Are there any kids bugging their parents to take them to the hobby shop to get the Christopher Bell Camry?

I am glad I have the memories from being a kid. I watched the race this year and by the time I got upstairs, I forgot who won...

Fully uncorked OE bodied cars that had to use an actual engine base offered from the mfg from the current year is far too obvious an answer for NASCAR to ever consider. Just like with NHRA pro classes, rooting for a mfg is a farce and race results produce minimal impact to car sales.
