Hi, a buddy has a 70 'Cuda with a small rot hole in the lower quarter to the front of the wheel, down next to the joint for the rocker. It would be easy enough to bend a small patch from sheet metal to fix this but if a nice pre-bent patch panel was available that might be a better choice. When looking I only see eBay as a source and they don't look great. Any other sources? I checked classic, year-one, and AMD.

Thanks

He's talking about the quarter panel in front of the rear wheel from what I read.

Opps! missed that part. Nobody make a patch panel for that area.

Yeah, the only thing that I find are the eBay ones that he references.

A pic of the rusted area might let people give recommendations on how to deal with it best.

Correct, that is the one I found as well. I know what is needed. A better quality patch then the eBay piece would just help a little but I think I'll just fabricate.

Thanks

The key is to replace to the point that you know that it's good metal that you're welding to.
Nothing sucks more than rust popping through from the inside of the panel.

These are pics of a 72 340 Cuda that I'm working on for a buddy.
I had questioned the roof because it had a lot of rust scale on the underside, but it only had some surface light surface rust on the top in some spots.
That was until I stripped out the weatherstrip caulking in the drip rail channels. eek

It's now getting a new AMD roof skin.
