Sebring has a nice assortment of road racing/car show coming up 2/23-25, The best day to attend is Sat for racing, paddock access is open entire time, tickets are cheapest online, enter the Sat car show and save money if attending Sat and Sun. It's not a crowded event so traffic is not a problem, nor is it getting to the track in central Florida and can be a nice leisurely off the interstate drive. It really should at least be a bucket list item for any race fan, as the track has an extensive race history, and is an up-close spectator experience. Be warned, you might want to return a few weeks later for the 12hr racing Big daddy.

Been there a couple times when a buddy (Rick Gold @ ERC Fuels) had the fuel concession - we brought the fueling rigs.
The place is just dripping with history.
Ran around it a bit on small motorbikes - if any track needs a major re-surfacing, that's the place...

T/Anks for the pics... love those T/A cars... even the newer late models.

Thanks for sharing the pics. There was a red mustang, about year 1996?... that used to be an IROC Daytona... re-bodied to a mustang... engine blew up at that Sebring event. My good friend owns the car... will eventually be re-bodied back to the IROC Daytona once a good 355 SBMopar is built.

Sorry, I didn't get a pic. Red cars are tough to pass up in getting a pic, and my son is a 5.0 driver so do get normally a lot shots of Mustangs, but there are so many cars.
The #38 below was a crowd favorite. Its early 60's BMW 700S rear engine with a 2 cyl 700cc BMW motorcycle boxer motor, It was tiny. It had a very throaty robust sound, that you could almost hear anywhere on the track. It was driven by Jerry David, but over the PA it sounded like "Larry David", weren't sure if the last place car was part of comic skit or not when on the track.

Great day, beautiful weather.
Disappointing there was only 1 Mopar on track, and a new car at that.
Plenty of 68-69 Camaros and Mustangs, and they looked and ran great.

Looked it up, over 600k produced during those 2 years for both Chevy and Ford.

Yea, any given year of Camaro or Mustang production would have delivered more cars than the combined Challenger and Cuda production for the entire 70-74 production run.

The fact that the new Challenger was continually produced from 2008 to 2023, means there will be considerably more bodies out there to play with in coming decades than there ever were from the original run.
