I am in the process of rebuilding a distributor for a 1978 Mopar 440.

While cleaning all the components the non metallic part in the attached picture got damaged.

What is name of this part and where can I buy a new one.

Thank you

John

Is this the piece at the bottom of the distributor that takes up the vertical shaft movement slack between the main body and the retaining clip?

Sorry, hard to tell how big (physically) this part is w/o there being another part to reference it to.

It should have a hole in it for a drive in retaining pin that is bigger than the hole in the distributor shaft that holds that plastic spacer retainer on the distributor shaft to limit the up and down movement of that shaft, I think that is he part scope
You may try buying a small parts rebuilding kit to get that spacer and a new drive in pin, if they are still available, the other option is to get another junk distributor and rob the parts you need for yours scope wrench luck

All of you are talking about the distributor thrust washer and collar, PN 2875731. But I think it looks larger than should be… and… without hole?
