HI, Several years ago you there was an old post on Westinghouse Headlamps and I was hoping to get an opinion on the 4001 and 4002 Westinghouse bulbs I just bough that came in a green Westinghouse box. My questions is are the ones I have considered wide or narrow flute. If you compare mine to the narrow and wide flute pics that were in the previous post, mine kind of look like a cross between the two. This may be a trivial question but I am trying to make sure I have the correct ones for my vehicle, a 70 Charger. Also do you know if there is any difference between the Westinghouse bulbs in the all Blue box vs the ones that came in the all green box I have attached a link to the previous post as well as pics of my bulbs. Thank you for any help you can give me. Rob L. https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/2413144/3.htmlhttps://www.ebay.com/itm/386171650875https://www.ebay.com/itm/355369500762

None with Westinghouse; one had TS low beams, but although it's super-low mileage (17,000), there's no reason for them to have been replaced. Never wrecked or repaired, and I doubt not worn out. St Louis car with 2/12/69 SPD. No record of replacement either, and high beams are GE. I bought a pair of low-beam GEs for when my OCD demands changing them out, but I'll keep the TS bulbs in the tote with its original AG filter, brake shoes, and washer bottle.

I've got a bunch of new Westinghouse wide flute bulbs in various boxes I believe. Let me see if I can find them. My car probably came with GE bulbs but I wasn't paying those prices. When I bought these Westinghouse they were dirt cheap.

He bought 4 date coded T-3's off the bay. Paid a good price for them. While doing some other work he asked that I put them in. I did. had to call him and say well we have 1 good hi beam and 1 good low beam. He angrily said the seller said they were good. I responded with, technically they were, for about 5 seconds, then got real BRIGHT and poof. the filaments were good but the atmospheric seal wasn't so POOF! 😲👎🤣

gtx6970 its the same as people wanting date coded ring and pinions for the rear ends.Have to wonder what judge pulls the rear to make sure its correct date.Headlights though have different fluting IIRC the factory used multiple vendors for them

But date codes? Not so much Ps, I asked this same question last year and it was overwelming GE was the primary lamps. I have a stash of NOS GE lamps for my car ( 1966 Plymouth ) But Im not concerned about the flute design. Just that the 2 match and are all glass bulbs was my only prerequisite.
