Might be "new" but the SFI date only has one year left before its expired. Given that it is WAY overpriced needed recert in 03/2025

Well, not everyone that uses one uses it for racing. I have one behind my Hemi to mate the 518 to it. The cert is not important in that kind of application.

For 200 more, I'd buy new. Seen too many people get piped on new/used parts. Very true. This doesn't have too many fail points. But with the quality of new stuff, you don't know if you are getting someone else's nightmares/issues passed unto you. I think it should be half new when factoring shipping for either.

And my point is WHY pay anywhere near new price for something that is basically an expired part. I can understand not needing it for racing but I would say you are in the minority of people who would be looking for one. I would be willing to bet a fairly substantial amount of money that many folks who do use them and are racing don't realize they are only good for 5 years in the first place.

Sooooooo, what are you suggesting happens at the 61st month when used in non-racing applications????????
And yes, sanctioned racing rather than street use brings in a whole different set of imperatives.

i paid around $325.00 for an expired sticker one a couple years back. it is going to be used with a 518. i bought it from a member here, and i thought it was a reasonable deal.
