Same thing goes with "ducktail" spoilers, on a bunch of A body cars out there. Someone just adds it to the car, to make it to their liking. It's not a factory stock added part... but it's still an "OEM" looking part.

? I’ve always been of the belief that Mopar never offered the AAR / TA spoilers on anything other than AARs and TAs…….but I seeing a LOT of cars with them now. Not stock right? Dealer installed back in the day could be considered "stock",....factory installed NO.... however the Challenger T/A stuff seemed to carry over for optional "factory installed/offered" pcs 70-71, along with AAR front spoilers 70-71, however, rear AAR spoiler, I'd have to so NO...

Those items from the AAR and TA are just flat out great looking. Rear window louvers too. I know most aftermarket fiberglass versions of these items were not on par quality wise as the rare factory stuff- but really sexies up an E body.
Keep old mopars alive.

I agree. And I gotta think the number of spoilers (not wings!) that might have been dealer installed would be VERY low. They were a mid year introduction and then gone. Can’t think many buyers asked a dealer “Can I get a Cuda with that spoiler without buying an AAR?”.

Disagree. Dealer installed is dealer installed. Factory installed is stock. My 64 300 could have come with factory AC. It did not, but it had dealer installed AC, a poor substitute for the factory installed setup.

One is going on my 73, on an original trunk made for the spoiler, black spoiler on Plum Crazy paint with flat black glass 6 pac hood. Contemplating doing the same to my 73.
Ok

My 73 is getting the same but part of the hood will be trimmed in red to match the car. If I could find an old Porsche whale tail spoiler I would wide body the fenders and add that spoiler. Not flare but widen the whole fender like Dick Landy did to his Challenger. Many would hate it but I would enjoy it. Getting tired of bone stock boring cars.

Its your car so absolutely do it as you want. The purest would hate my back half pro Street looking cuda. Myself I do them the way I like. Good luck and have at it.

Can’t think many buyers asked a dealer “Can I get a Cuda with that spoiler without buying an AAR?”. The dealers had a very hard time selling the AAR Cuda and T/A Challengers due to all the choices available for better, more HP and torque, motors in 1970, who wanted a 290 HP small block, not very many You need to remember the only reason Mopar made and put them out there for sale was the requirement for a minimum of 500 must be sold to the public before a lot of the sanctioning body back then would let them race in the stock classes instead of a modified class or not allow to be raced at all
Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

Tried to sell to me for $2800, said no. Like said who wanted a 340, 440 6 pac different story. I was partial to Plymouth not Dodge.

A buddy of mine here has an very nice '73 340 4 speed Cuda. Yellow. Nearly all original. He came to me a few years ago with a wing that he wanted help mounting. I begged him to get a repop trunk and drill the damn holes in it rather than in the original paint trunk deck.
Rather than spend that money, he just shelved the idea. Thank Goodness.
When these cars were new or nearly new, it was rare to see a spoiler (or wing) on anything other than the T/A cars. But now, EVERYTHING has to have holes in their trunk so they can stick a spoiler /wing on it.
It certainly proves the point that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Master, again and still
