I had H series bearings, .010 under size, in my BMP block and need another set. I want a half grove, anybody have them?

I have used everything from Clevite HG, Sealed Power and as of late King bearings. I prefer King bearings these days, they offer more of a selection to get the proper clearances as needed and come coated for not much more than Clevites uncoated bearings. Obviously, coating cost more from Clevite. I have King bearings in my latest 440 with over 55,000 on it and 5 seasons on my Hemi and they still look like new.

I'm not sure the H series Clevite is the same as it was in the past. I'd look for other manufacturers and be open to some input from current experiences. Sean, exactly! I ordered sealed power, but don't really want a 3/4 grove, as a half grove provided the best results, according to one site. So i will fontinue to look around. Only the best when pushing things hard.

Are you sure you don't want your rods and rod baring to have full time oiling, especially in a race motor above 5500 RPM I've used full groove main bearings in every motor I've built since the early 1070s. I now use the narrow full groove bearings on all my build, street, street and strip and race only motors. I like lots of bearing to crankshaft clearances also, .0025 + on the rods and .0030+ on the main bearings. I like and use high volume oil pumps with thin oil also, 5W20 WT or 10W30 Wt. 10 Lbs. of pressure per 1000 RPM with hot oil, IE 7500 RPM 75+Lbs oil pressure

I'd run a 3/4 groove bearing if it was available. They were never available for the low deck stuff I was doing back in the day but they would be a good choice for an RB. The engine builder I work with prefers King bearings for Mopars these days but sometimes they are hard to find.

I pretty much run the same setups as you do. Except I run a little heavier oil at those clearances. Even reused my current bearings a couple years ago when we got in a jam due to covid.

I ordered a set of Sealed Power 119m-10, sounds like they will do the job.
