I have a single cab 2000 .. only has 58,000 on it You hardly use that ... I sometimes wish I had a single cab with an 8 foot bed. I have one similar to the link except it's a 98 , I bought it almost 2 years ago with 172k , has 208k now , paid 10k for it plus shipping it up from AR. to NH .
running up my post count some more .

After having a club cab truck there is no way I would ever consider a single cab truck ever again And I have zero use for a long bed

Mostly just me in the truck , I use it to pull my enclosed trailer and race car .. it gets as much attention as anything I own .. been offered $22,000 for it but, can't replace it for that
I hated those early doors and half pickups, noisy , rattled. and you could get stuck in them in the burmuda triangle of doors

Mine is my daily driver and there isn't anything new that I would want to replace it with, there is TOO MUCH electronics in new cars today, we just bought a 2023 SUV for the wife and I absolutely hate it .

After having a club cab truck there is no way I would ever consider a single cab truck ever again And I have zero use for a long bed I bought a 1500 quadcab/shortbed in 98 when they first came out, I was driving an 89 regular cab 8 ft bed D100 at the time, and I fell in love with it instantly , traded it for a 2000 2500 Cummins Quadcab/SB in late 99 .... I still have the 2000 but it's rotted pretty bad. I only want a regular cab to turn it into a toy, I might look for a real clean 1500 reg cab, shortbed and put the drivetrain from my rusty 2000 into it. When I was doing a lot of swapmeets in the late 90's/2000's was the times when I wished I had the 8 ft bed , otherwise the shortbed works fine for me.
