That fender tag sure looks a lot better than the car it suposedly came from.

Ad says "new fender tag"...but yeah, the old girl may be pretty dry, but it's stripped almost to the bone.
Interesting that there's another one in the background - maybe this car was a donor for that one ? - and 2 '66s as well.

I saw it this morning. I thought the body looked actually pretty good but I agree the asking price felt really high- hemi or not. Just getting a running semi-correct hemi is going to cost over $20K. Add a few other pieces and your in $50K on a car that needs a full resto.

There was a guy who had bought a boatload of cars out that part of the country maybe a year or so ago.

There were several hemi cars in the mix.
Including 2 1966 hemi Satellites

Wow- some big numbers on some of the sold cars even factoring in the auction fever.

Notice those are all 4-speed cars. Big jump in selling price and interest with a 4-speed

The problem with a '67 Hemi car is finding a CH stamped block. BH blocks seemed to be everywhere. I looked for nearly 20 years for a block for my '67 GTX and after looking at mountains of cracked, windowed versions in the end settled for an unstamped block.

Troy here had a unstamped over counter block with really desirable date code that would have worked for 70-71 hemi car. Never run but was 60 over. No cracks, Not O-ringed, no repairs. Sonic tested with lots of meat for overbore.

Finally sold to someone without direct need for it, but knew could use if bought 70-71 car in future. They knew it was a good deal and they don't come up often.

When good stuff pops up, people still don't know what to do with it.
