i got brand new weather stripping for both doors for my truck.its tight, the doors take a little effort to close completely, but it is air tight.i bought some supersoft brand for a gm,but its the same kind my truck used from the factory,so it fits perfect.i'm sure after it settles the doors will close a little easier.i'm just happy to finally get this done, one more thing off the to do list on this thing, one less thing i have to worry about.not to mention its getting winter and i'll finally be able to feel the heater plus it looks soooo much better...now,the floor pans and new carpet are on the list.

When you fix the floor pans 1bad, the problem will get worse.

It's always been a problem closing the doors with little effort of these regular cab trucks.

The doors are so light and without anywhere for the air to escape, it's often a 2 time effort.

With the windows open, the door fells like it's going right on through to the other side.

Where did you buy the new weather strip?

magnum,i bought it at auto-zone.it fits like a dream, identical to the factory stuff that was dry-rotted and missing on mine.as far as the door not closing,it done the same thing on my buddies s10,and it is exact reproduction stuff for his.i know i'll probably get made fun of for not buying high-dollar repop stuff made just for my truck, but i'm on a very tight budget(i'm the only one working, wife is getting ready to go to nursing school to be a cna, then onto rn)so if i can save a few bucks,im there.i'm going to make my own floor pans, only replacing the bad areas instead of the whole thing.again...budget,and besides, its a street truck, not a resto and who is going to be looking under the carpet?i'm not skimping on carpet though, going correct repo on that.

What year S-10 weather stripping is the same as our trucks? Did you get a roll of of the weather stripping, or was it already cut to length?

Can you get some pics of the package and the stripping on your doors? It would be great to see how it looks.

Hey guys I missed this thread somehow but we have the door seals you are after correct reproductions of the originals for 39.99 per pair - not sure how that compares with the GM ones you are getting just giving you a heads up.

Hey bad, when you go for the carpet, I was very satisfied with the Nifty brand that I got from SUMMIT early this summer.(89,95) very good fit. went to the local SHUCKs store and got a roll of their carpet (10,99) and used that to do the cab behind the seats...

I am truckless..
