A 57 Dodge Coronet. Many years before I became Magnumguy, I was 57Dodgeguy. This guy and I talked for several years, and he would chance his mind. But out of nowhere he asked me if I'd still want to trade. I said well yes! Bare-boned car, only option I see is the "Powerflite" transmission. Flathead 6, no radio and "dog dishes". No plans for it other that local cruising. Maybe duals and a era-correct radio.

I'm an E58 lover too.

He's probably got four or five more in his secret Magnum stash!

I like that '57 too! Congrats.

When I picked it up for you several neighbors dropped by and were sad to see it go. I guess he owned it for 30 years and it was a fixture in the neighborhood. Up until I had him drive it one the trailer he was still hemming and hawing... blush

It would not have surprised me if he at last minute backed out. He has twice before, but we weren't this deep into it. But he told me once he got the Magnum ( he bought one new like I did ) he was glad he made the trade.

My first Mopar car was a 1959 Dodge Coronet 326 two barrel V8 with the push button "Powerflyte' two speed automatic. I bought it off of a used car lot in San Bernardino, CA and paid $900.00 for it in1964,it was my go to work reliable car up
Our 2nd Mopar (my wife's fist car we bought her) was a1957 Chrysler 2 door hardtop New Yorker.
I was hook on Mopars after that realcrazy whistling up boogie
