I went to the Baby Gators several years back on the Thursday. The track announcer said the DA was -2000 feet or more. It was super cold that morning. They called Stock around 8AM and no one came to the starting line. Finally they brought out the jet dryers and heated up the first 100 or more feet. Only one guy ran it out the back door and he got HP the following week. Most everyone clicked it off at 1000'.

We were at Joliet one Sunday when the DA while we were making time runs was -735. Everybody was flying. Unfortunately during the lunch break anogher front came through and we were at +1700. Lots and lots of missed dials.

A good friend of mine always talks about times they broke up ice in the water box at the track on Long Island years ago so they could race.

A few weeks ago at one of -- possibly the last -- event at Capitol Raceway for 2023, I checked the DA and it was was something like -1200-1400 (yeah waaay below)... and the temps got up into the 50s for most of the day. I'd have thrown some good tires on the 1320 and run over there shooting for one of those elusive 11.7xx passes, but we had family commitments that kept me from sneaking over there. Pi$$er...
