Wanting to get some advice or examples of anyone changing to Lower gears in 1/8 mile.

Info:
1/8 mile only footbrake bracket car
Current 4.11 gears
1.80 Powerglide
32x14s
Shift at 6700 and cross right around 6700-6800
6.0s at 112mph in 1/8

Any issues going to a 5.00 gear ratio? Thoughts?

If I read the above correctly, you're shifting at 6700 and crossing the line at about the same.

Going from a 4:11 to a 5:00 is going to have you crossing ~7.5- 8k (rough guess). Can the motor handle that?

I would try shifting it out of low at 7000 PM and see what that does to all the times on slips, 60 Ft.' 330 and 660 ET and MPH.
If that slows your car down try shifting it sooner, say at 6200 or 6300 RPM out of low gear scope twocents up

Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)
