For a 1969 Lynch Road Superbee, what code(s) on the fender tag identify it as a front bench or front buckets? Thanks.

Think I figured it out. Second line from the bottom:
6X X9
base black bucket interior

Thanks for the info. What was throwing me was that the format isn't like other fender tags. After I figured it out, I called myself an idiot. It's coded for a console (C16) so it couldn't have been a bench car. Duh.

For this example H2X H = High Grade, 2 = Bench (6 = Bucket seats) and X = black color As an FYI , there is no H6* Bucket interior code , even though the seat covers are the same as the GTX which is coded P6* , P= Premium , in the RR it's coded M6*... this started a bleep storm back in '06 when I pointed that out to a member posted a picture of a fendertag for an A12 car that was in England at the time that he was interested in buying. "How dare you "

Maybe the P vs M is because of the door & quarter trim panels and other upgraded interior trim (GTX vs RR) ? Door panels were the same , only difference was the woodgrain on the dash of the GTX.

Thanks to both of you on the correction, My 69 bee has buckets with an M6 code and the door panels have the woodgrain the same as the R/T of that year , my bad for ASSuMEing the RR and GTX were the same ...

No worries - the bucket option for that era of RRs is kind of a curveball, as is the dash. Base car interiors are like Belvederes, Decor Group cars are like Satellites, but with the Belvedere-level dash. Bucket RRs still had the Satellite door & quarter trim & Belvedere-style dash. That's my reasoning on the P vs M codes. 4-speed carpet color is likely another P item; that debate should be coming along shortly
