I deeply regret to inform everyone that Larry passed away according to his family via his Facebook page

Larry was leasing space to port heads and manifolds from my good friend Hollis Page’s shop up in Norwood, NC when we were first introduced.

Larry was one of the rare engine builders designers that could look at a port and ‘see’ the flow potential before he ever turned on the grinder. He built the motors that Roger Penske went 1-2 at Daytona…he was ‘That good’.

Larry loved his work and over the last several years he was battling illnesses and all he would talk about was how excited he was to get back to work….I envy and admire a person that has an absolute PASSION for the work he does….

Godspeed my Friend!! I will miss you!

A friend on Facebook told me about this a couple of days ago and I found an obituary yesterday. I didn’t know him so I told a few guys but didn’t want to post about it.

Larry was such a pleasant man to talk to. Very patient and informative. I'm honored to have him port my heads and intake. RIP Sir.

Very sad and I'm afraid these kind of skilled workers and overall good people won't be replaced.
