Neat car. I like the pinstripe, wish there were more cars restored with it.
Shouldn't the door panels have a red stripe on Gran Coupes?

Look at all the crap stacked on that car not that long ago....Overall it's a decent driver that needs restoration.

the factory V6_ stripes on a Barracuda or Gran Coupe (BH/BP) was a double vinyl stripe that ended under the 1/4 window scope #5
available in Black, White, Gold, Green & Blue

Really don’t need a project. Saw that the other day and immediately thought about my spare 440 and getting the twin scoop hood for it, plus exhaust through the valance. That’s got to be one of the rarest gran coupe interiors. It’s just a money pit if it goes for 30k and you do any real work to it. Getting it on the road wouldn’t cost that much, but the real cost would be all the flipper douchebags chasing you or knocking on your door.

Why o why did I sell my 71 gran coupe Texas car with the 440 already installed? That’s the one that stings.

I want my fair share

Yep, flat surfaces are the first to go, next is wall space. You can never have too much.

You nailed it. I assumed V6 was always a “billboard” on 71 Plymouth e bodies. My 71 Challenger was coded V7X with a painted double pinstripe

Mine had a stripe surrounding the body side molding. I think it was V5W.

Yup, I had a factory side-molding '70 Barracuda that was entirely original.
They were an adhesive molding, with a stripe surrounding it.
The moldings on the car for sale are the aftermarket riveted-on type that dealers used to add, and had a vinyl insert.
Lots of 1/8" holes would be drilled in the car, and the aluminum part of the moldings - with chrome end caps - were pop-riveted to the car.

$30k for 318 projects is insane.

By the time you Cuda clone it, you'll be in it for $100k. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't restore this to factory stock for $40-60k. Boring.

You can get a REAL Cuda for that much.

Neat car, overall a decent project. The prices are certainly insane!

Would HATE to see it turned into another cuda clone. I would restore it as per the fender tag, except maybe for the engine, would put a nice 408/416 stroker SB in it.
