I installed a 383/727/8-3/4 rear with 11" brakes on rear factory disc on front in my 73 scamp. I am having problems with the brakes. I have new master cylinder, brake hardware, brake cyliners, pads etc. The only thing not replaced was the power brake booster. I have bleed the brakes twice, adjusted up the rear drums. the pedal feels fine until i start the car and then it goes way down. Any suggestions on what to check?

I will try that, do you think that the rod may not be going far enough into the cylinder and maybe not getting the fluid pressure into the lines during braking. The car will stop, but i am giving myself plenty of time right now.

You might need to adjust the rod that goes into the master cylinder to give you more pedal.
Nor sure, but what I think Stumpy means is that you should remove the m/c from the booster. (If you can do it while the fluid lines are still attached, you won't have to rebleed the system.) Then, there is a rod that comes out of the center of the booster that is wht activates the piston in the m/c. I believe that rod is threaded and adjusts out/in so that there is minimal slop between booster pushrod and m/c piston recess for that rod. Don't adjust out too far, or m/c piston will not retract enough to replenish m/c cylinder as required when caliper pads wear and caliper pistons gradually travel out.
