Hey gang,

My buddy needs his 18 spline A-833 rebuilt but coming up short with leads in the DFW area. He lives in Grapevine, TX so anywhere around the Dallas/Ft. Worth area would work. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Cheers
Dave

They all will disassemble it and tell you it's toast then try to sell you a tremec or something else.
You'll get your trans back in a box.
Get a FSM and do it yourself.

Just my twocents

Tell him to buy Jamie Passon's 833 How To book and do it himself.

You don't even need Jamie's book. I rebuilt mine after finding a tech article in the archives on the for abodiesonly.com site. Plenty of pictures and step by step instructions for anybody who has never done it before. It was much simpler than I expected it to be.

The most critical part is understanding how the synchronization works and the part the clutching teeth play. The rest is a cake walk beer

I build them out in Abilene. I’ve built three for friends in the metroplex area.

It’s for a friend who doesn’t have the time or experience to do so, and I simply have too much going on to do it for him. Still looking for someone. I sent you a PM, fastmark.
