Found a barn fresh 71 satellite. It has 383 with 4 speed and AC. Typical rust for a car its age. What do you guys think its worth?

Typical rust for it's age means different things to different people, and there's a lot of other unknowns such as factory 383 four speed? is engine locked? interior totally shot? and others but with info provided I'd guess $8k ish.

Need more pictures to gauge the car better.
Engine bay, interior, all sides of the car, trunk, undercarriage...etc.

I am thinking between $5000 to $8000 depending on the motor being free and amount of rust.

If I got it, I would put all late model motor, trans and suspension and leave the outside looking barn find fresh.

If that's a factory 383, 4-speed and original engine/trans, that's a pretty rare combo.

Can you post a picture of the fender tag?

Could be a cast crank 383 but because it is a 4-speed it is probably still a forged crank. I have a 71 383 laying around and it has a cast crank, but it was an automatic car and it was 71 only as 72 went to the 400. Pretty rare car for sure!

Looks to be a Sebring Plus. An N code 4-spd with A/C SSP is pretty rare. 5-10K depending on rust and what not.
71 383 with cast crank was only used in 2-bbl with auto.

Whats it worth....Its worth a spot in my shop. Very restorable car....

I believe this car was a previous topic been listed on CL NY I think for $28.000 & didn't sell, realistically 10k to 12k.

I have a question. The Plymouth rocket logo or whatever you would call it that is on the panel between the loop bumper and hood on this car. Plymouth started using this in the early 1960’s. Am I wrong that it seemed to fall out of favor after 1967? Then it appears here. How long did Plymouth use it? When was the last time it was used on a car? Was it continuously used in the late 1960’s? Thanks

That sure seems like a lot of money for a car like this. Without the 4spd this is a $4-6K car. I don't see the 4spd added that much to Satellite.


If the seller was asking $28K for it. I don't put a whole lot of faith in his "Selling Price".
