If ANYONE has a photo of two or all three of these colours side by side in decent light for comparison I'd really appreciate it.

Omaha orange, Hemi orange and Tor-red. Mainly Omaha and Hemi.

Thanks,

Hemi Orange is not orange. Way too red. Vitamin C is better but still too dark. Omaha Orange is orange. And beautiful. Kinda like 2015 Challenger Header Orange.

They can all be called orange, but Omaha is on the yellow side and Tor-red is on the redder side.

Comparing them through a monitor might be inaccurate, due to a number of factors:
Monitor's color accuracy
Lighting of photo and/or viewing area
Accuracy of the car's color to correct formula
Variances within the color or application itself

LOL !! 3/4" square chips and poor lighting ... not much better than looking at them on a computer screen.

Yup, that's the dilemma. And car show season is pretty much done !!

I might be wrong but I think Tor Ted and Hemi Orange is the same color and Omaha Orange is the old Hemi race orange, which is lighter/yellower. https://www.challengertalk.com/attachments/picture231-jpg.96217/

What about getting a couple custom spray cans made up.? Then, do a couple of spray out cards as the primer will effect the color too.
Probably, cost you $100-125 with some clear coat.

https://www.automotivetouchup.com/spray_paint_matched.aspx

Ready made alternatives:
House of Kolor has an "Omaha orange" in a can already.
https://www.66autocolor.com/products/omaha-orange-automotive-spray-paint

Hemi orange in a can of engine paint. The ready made mixes can be a bit iffy in color.
Duplicolor, VHT , Mopar etc.

PPG paint store here will mix up sample colors in a small plastic pill sized bottle for a few bucks. Then you can brush it or spray it out to see what you have.

Omaha orange is more like orange the fruit color and tor-red/hemi orange is quite a bit darker. Hemi orange has some small metal flake in it and I don't think Omaha orange does.

Is Stanton (the OP) referring to 60s/70s colors or modern Mopar colors ? Not the same .

Here are the colors and codes for the oranges I'm trying to chose between. The late model colors are all base/clear, hence the different codes even though they may "closely" resemble the shade of days gone by. There are also some subtle changes from "metallic" to "pearl". Personally I prefer the "pearl" effect over metallic.
Chrysler PPG
69 Mopar Orange (Omaha Orange) 999 60436
69/70 Mopar Vitamin C orange metallic K2 2201
1970 Dodge Go Mango metallic K2
69/70 Mopar Hemi orange metallic V2 2186
1970 Mopar Tor-red V2
1968 Mopar Tiger Orange 60326

08-15 Mopar Hemi Orange Pearl PLC/FLC/LC 914306
16-22 Mopar Go-Mango Pearl PVP/MVP 942106
2023 Mopar Omaha Orange P62 932205
12-17 Chall. Header/Ignition/Crush Orange PL4 KL4 931301

If the car is in primer just get some ounce sample bottles and brush some on the side of the car with a foam brush and then look at it outside in the sun. The one you want will present itself.

Uhh take the chips outside in the sun. I primed pieces of brake tubing, took the to the paint store and had them mix the colors. Coated the tubes and took them outside twocents beer

Color is a matter if personal preference. Of the colors you listed I would use Header Orange because it's newer and I feel the guy in the paint store might not give you that deer-in-the-headlights look when you asked for it.

No need to be a dick Stanton. You asked for opinions and you got them.
