I'm sure the 4-door version is coming scope looks like they "eased" the rear seat headroom hump that the prototype had

and a transmission tunnel = ICE & RWD (for the I'll never buy an EV crowd - it was never going to be EV ONLY)

With the carts that they're on it looks like what they would be sending into the CMM room to verify that the bodies are being built in spec while they're in metal shop department.

Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

Yes one is 410hp and the other 510hp, they are also quite different, the 510hp isn't just a 410 with more boost.

That roof line reminds me more of the AMC Marlin than the Charger.

Didn't someone here say the next Charger would have a B-pillar due to the rollover standards whistling

You dont need it, a bunch of Mercedes coupes have no pillar, its just more expensive to do and they tend to have issues with the weatherstripping in that area from what I remember, not something a Dodge owner would care to deal with

I believe the darker steel you see is the high strength steel reinforcements that many car companies use to meet safety standards.

Just going on the words of a friend and Chrysler engineer that worked on the current or recent Challenger (doors) and how he told me they "tried everything" to not have a B-pillar on the Challenger. He pointed out how the show (prototype) Challenger did NOT have a B-pillar and roll down rear quarter glass as they had hoped to go to production. Yes Mercedes may have a car or two without a B-pillar but the key word there is Mercedes that will go the extra expense to re-enforce the A and C pillars to meet the rollover regulations but that is for sure reflected in the window sticker. Dodge will black out the B-pillar and quarter glass to hide the B-pillar just like they did on the Challengers. Besides who drives with the windows down anymore especially the rear quarter glass windows?

BTW the A-pillars have a regulation requirement that goes back to the original '66 FMVSS NHTSA safety standards. It requires that the A-pillars do not block the vision of the driver so one can see pedestrians at a crosswalk in both directions. I think that is one of the reasons the '68/'69 B-bodies for instance were different (dash/windshield) in distance and layout to the driver's forward vision. The smaller or thinner the A-pillars are for increased pedestrian and bicycle sighting the less strength is has for the roof crush regulation and the more need for a B-pillar. Ironically the B-pillars also reduce vision or sighting ability of objects and pedestrians. Car design has so many regulations, and limits now that what's cool and better "looking" most likely will not be the same as a no B-pillar concept or show car and not go into production.

Also, why the giant glass roof, for a muscle car? Doesn’t the glass just add more weight and a loss of rigidity? That glass causes a lot of heat on top of your head, have a Tesla with it and it is awful. Winter time is ok but that’s about it. I wouldn’t even want a sunroof.

X2 on roof glass and it's not if it will eventually leak it's when.

I watch this video last week, It shows you more of the interior. It's built more like a hatch back similar to the first gen Charger. Glad it has 2 doors! up This shell looks like the version that they will be selling. Similar to the prototype but still has a ways to go looks wise. It's not bad looking considering the hideous garbage all the other manufactures are building. I seen another video that it will have more power than anything Tesla is putting out.
