Trying to replace the old seal on conv RR on A pillar and the seal looks to be way to thick (SOFT SEAL ) IS there a trick to installing them and getting them to fit ?? Is there a better brand that fits ?? Tried silicon and soapy water and I cannot get them in the channel.....

Try K-Y jelly. I started using that years ago to put windshields in and it works better than anything else I've tried.

Soft Seal has let me down several times now. Especially A bodies. Their stuff for them simply does not fit.

I now use Steele. www.steelerubber.com/automotive

I have to agree. Metro makes some great products but Steele makes the best of a few items. All thier convertible parts are very good. I worked for over 2 years on the E body convertible stuff. The SoffSeal E body convertible parts were not even sellable. The other items were hard as a rock. I used them on my own car before I learned better. Looks like Classic must have bought out the Soffseal stuff. At least the Mopar stuff. Ouch.
