I am helping a friend install a power steering upgrade kit on his 66 Barracuda.
Does anyone have any pics of the pump mounting brackets and how it mounts to the engine / pump? No information was provided in the kit.
I have reached out to the supplier but have not gotten any information as of yet.
Attached is a pic of the brackets that were provided with the kit.
The car has a 318 small block.
Thanks in advance for your help.

A 66 didn't come with a 318. I say that because there are some differences between the original 273 and a later 318. One of them being a hole in the block the timing cover does not have and if you don't seal it you will get a coolant leak, BTDT. I was using an 87 318, FWIW.

My 65 Cuda has manual steering so I cannot help on the brackets.

I looked in my parts manual, brackets don't look like yours, but it's a poor picture so I googled it. They don't look like what you have.

Google 1966 barracuda power steering and look at the images, I can;t seem to link them directly.

Sniper, you are correct, the 66 didn't come with a 318. the original 273 needed replacing so a 318 was built and installed. I believe the owner said the 318 is a 1972
Thanks.

Rear bracket would attach to pump similar as shown below. Not an expert, but your front bracket looks like a big block Saginaw bracket (to me).

CrazyD, I believe you are right!

I looked on Classic Industries and found both a SB and BB kit.
I think we got the rear bracket for a small block and a front bracket for a big block.
That explains a lot.
Thanks for your help!!!
