I am building my 727 for my 68 Barracuda- almost done with it. Bought a lot of great parts from Cope racing. I was looking at having a trans built by a few different shops but decided I wanted to know how the auto really worked.
John at Cope has been great to work with and very friendly and helpful. When I go to rebuild my 47RE I will be buying parts from John.

ther point of this Thread is to ask for advise on who to get a quality converter from.
The cart made about 550 WHP N/A on pump gas and has a 250HP cheater NOS kit. It is street driven but has become more of a race car- I am okay driving a race car on the street.

I have talked to PTC, PROTORQUE, RevMax, Coan And FTI.

I did not go with a transbrake on my current transmission- it will be a footbrake car.

All of that being said- who is a good quality converter compnay to go with? Ive got a budget for a good converter and realise they can be around 2000$. Who should I go with? EVen a compnay not listed already. I just want to buy a good part.

A1 is on our side of the map which can always help considering the shipping costs these days.
I’ve used Lenny Crouteau for 30 years but he retired last year (TCT and then Ultimate converters)
I need another converter for my other combo and may have Jeff Dice build one for me. He’s also here in the west.
