Gean Gregory was the man that started reproducing Charger Daytona and Superbird nose cones and then Shaker Hoods for Challengers and Cuda's back in the 80's.
Out of a small shop Alhambra IL.
He also reproduced rubber bumpers for Challengers and Cuda's and the 71 B- Body Mopars (Chargers and Road Runners/GTX's).
He also reproduced the rear window louvers for the Mopars.
He was doing it long before places like AMD, I believe Tommy Chryco bought many of Gean's molds, etc.
He was a craftsman at what he did with metalworking.
My only complaint would be that I loaned him a part (71 Cuda Fender section with the louver cutouts) and he sold it to a friend of mine.
He used to do the cutouts for stamping the louvered fender holes. I needed a set of fenders stamped, he said his tool broke.
He told me how to have one made so I did based off that fender part and I started stamping the holes.
He asked if he could borrow the piece of the fender so he could have another tool made so I loaned it to him.
At the Nats I asked him about the fender part so I could get it back and he acted like he had no idea what I was talking about.
A couple years ago I was talking with Martin and he told me that he had bought a bunch of stuff from Gean.
He said he had bought a 71 Cuda louvered fender part from Gean, I asked if it was green?
He said yes, why?
I said that the part that Gean borrowed from me and never gave back.
No sure if I'll ever get it back now.....
There's a reason his nickname was Honest Gean.
