Finally a HUSKER again
I built a run stand for my 434, Its a very basic very simple engine, converted points distributor to petronix, just curious how you guys would wire it up, Im using my simple hand button on the starter to start it. I was going to run the red wire to + coil, Black wire the - coil, then run red wire to a simple on off toggle switch, and ground to ground, toggle wire to + battery, then I could roll the engine over and flip the switch for ignition.

Curious if this will work, or If I am over thinking it...

You would have to follow the wiring on the conversion kit. I went through this recently and went with one of those all-in-ones from 440 source for $100. Works great. For a starter I used a simple push button from Bumper-to-Bumper and a Ford solenoid. (Kinda like a chassis race car.)

Rick,
I like you put a master shut off electrical switch on the panel.
Here is mine. The switch panel was a leftover, so I used it. It has fused circuits.
