The transmission will have an id pad on side. The 2nd row will have numbers that contain the assembled date. It corresponds to a 10,000 day schedule that Chrysler has and published. Its on the net if you look it up. It shoukd say something like p833 1234 5678 The first set of 4 nimbers is the date pf assy (on the 10,000 day scedule. The remaining 4 numbers are the unit number for that day.
The dana has numbers on the rear facing pass axle tube. There is a BOM number that id’s the model dana. Then below usually are a date code. Month , day, and yr isually from what i’ve seen. Ex 9 20 66
Hope this helps.

602829 is the BOM for all 66/67 The date code will tell which year.
Photo of numbers on a ‘67 Dana for reference (borrowed from another post somewhere):
The date is actually in this format : 12 2 6 ( Dec 2nd 1966)

'66-'67 Dana 60's have a drain plug in the bottom of the housing. Only years that did.

Hope this helps. If the trans is a 66 it won't have the ID pad , that started in 68.
