A couple months ago, I added a A/F sensor to my RacePak. On the next outing, after a pass, I pulled the SD card, and when it came up on the computer screen, it said there was a new sensor that was not recognized. The only thing that was recorded was the engine RPM. Before I had driveshaft RPM as well. Thinking my driveshaft sensor was bad, I ordered a new one, and added Vacuum, Fuel Pressure, Oil pressure, and input shaft sensors. After my first pass over the weekend, I still had no data other than engine RPM. Thinking the A?F sensor was messing something up, I removed it from the stack, and tried it again. Nothing... What am I missing? I did the update just like RacePak says to do.

Sportsman or V300/500 ? Should be the same but on a V300 you can option which parameters to display, you can also check to see if all is Ok doing a telemetry session without starting the engine. New sensors need to be configured and written to the unit to save the set up.

Do you have the option to run a telemetry session on the sportsman unit ? I have very little experience with those units. I'm assuming you have added V-Net sensors rather than going through a serial module ? There are lots of good video's on you tube which shows how to set up sensors etc.

If you have internet service and a laptop you can hook your laptop to the RacePak and call them. With your permission they can make the needed changes to your setup while you talk to them on the phone.

Im going to guess you missed a step in the set up. After you read ANY new sensors to ad to the logger you then need to right click on the logger from the first screen then add them all to the telemetry and save. Otherwise it will not record any of them...Its easy to do and harder to explain, but I am sure there is a youtube video. Lord knows I have done this for alot of folks who miss this step. You can call me if you like and I can walk you through it. Might take a couple tries as my house got flooded Friday night and its kinda noisey in here. Just looked and here you go https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNogdni5gd4

I'll pull the car out of the trailer tonight, and go through it again.

Did you save everything you did? That and not adding to telemetry are the usual issue. You can run a telemetry or even hit record if you have it on a button to confirm before you go to the track again. I am remote tuning a car now that had the same isseus.

I do not have a record button, or at least, mine starts on engine RPM, so it starts in the burnout box, and I can't forget to hit the record button. I can kind of understand why the new sensors didn't work, but why did it kill the driveshaft sensor, when it was already working?

I don't use a record button on any of the racepak stuff I do for anyone. Why, when it can be activated any number of ways and not have to worry about it. Not sure on the driveshaft sensor unless something happened in that harness? Dropping random sensors from time to time is just a racepak thing, they usually drop out then come right back. The dirveshaft being on its own harness would make me look at that for sure for a short or bad connection., but I would assume that issue is separate from the other v net stuff since they share nothing in common other than the logger unit itself. But if you have engine RPM, voltage and G meters working I would doubt its in the logger. Only other with a Sportsman logger is you can only ad a few extra channels before you run out and need to upgrade/add more channels.
