I know there's a limited market here but I think considering the price it could be a fun car. Seems complete right down to the Thermoquad. And it's an "ELE" so 4 barrel with 360 intake and exhaust manifolds and all HD internals. Out west so might be very solid. Sun obviously taken it's toll but it's only $1200. Open up the exhaust on these and with 2.9 or 3.2 gears they run pretty darn nice. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/177910505313520/?

It's rough but the worst thing to deal with is rust, and this may be rust free or close. Try and find another A38 M body factory 4 barrel right now. They are great engines from back when they used all upgraded HD internals on Police Package cars and still did all the extra welds, etc. A $1200 price means seller may take a grand. If it were within a few hours of me I'd snag it!

I had one in better looking shape given to me 20 yrs ago. It had title issues (I knew going in)so I tried to part it, tried. Couldn't give the parts away. Ended up scrapping everything but the gauges........ I guess $1200 isn't out of line in today's crazy world.

Nowadays with internet reach so vast, parts from a Police M may not bring a lot of money but usually can find takers, especially for slotted Police wheels, 8.25 rear and anti sway bar set up, and larger front anti sway bar. Other stuff too but those seem to be biggies.

Parts are worth $1,200. Big bolt discs, 10 x 2.5 rear drums, engine/trans, wheels. Everything else is gravy or take to the salvage yard for a few bucks. Then again, that's what happened to all the '69 pursuit Polaras... The rear drums on these are 11x2.5

Locals didn't want them and shipping was prohibitive even back then. I had pics of it, I may still have them somewhere. Honestly, the reason I didn't try harder to get a title for the one given to me is that it had been beat within an inch of its life by the owners it had after being a police unit. Based on how funked up the engine was, I don't think it had ever had its oil changed since leaving police maintenance. Like I said, it was better looking, but the looks hid a lot of issues.

I’m posting from my phone which I don’t normally do, so bear with me…
The cop car I was given way back when. I remember it being 4bbl but I could be wrong after 23 years…..

Dang that looks like it was a solid car. I wish you still had it. I see the extra welds under hood at firewall and the larger support bars with AHB's. I see it also had an engine oil cooler. Thanks for posting pics. I stole this pic from someone else.

I guess flood car is a possibility. When I first saw the car and that it was a Cali car I assumed all that crud was basically dry dust from over the years.
