Try turnubg it by hand.See if it turns over that way.Does the starter engage when you hit the key and not crank?Ive seen new parts bad.Make sure the cable connections are all tight and the ground is good.Rocky

with a 1&1/4" socket/breaker bar & the right length extension see if the crank will move. Need to narrow down to either the eng is locked up or an electrical issue

yea i can see the starter engage but doesn't turn the flywheel. we have turned the engine over by hand no problem.

Pull the starter out & bench test it & problably get another one.
ugh. i guess we will try that. but it is doing the same thing as the big old starter and it sucks getting the starter out with headers.

Check the Ground. Clean it if you have to or add another one from the battery to the block as well as one from the block to the frame.
Also possible the starter nose cone broke and is in the way when trying to start.
Also check your other connections. I had a starter pos cable nut back off at the starter that did what you are experiencing.

Here's a novel idea, let's not throw a bunch of parts at the car hoping it will fix the problem and instead spend a little time diagnosing it first.
Life was a little easier when I was just a wrench.
