mike_vango OP super stock Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 1,167 ERIE PA home of the RENCH MOB	my brothers 66 440 belvedere won't start. it is doing the same thing as when we started. parts that were changed to new. battery, starter, relay and positive cable. i can see the starter is engaging the flywheel and trying to turn but it won't turn the engine at all. any suggestions? i need this out of my garage and up for sale. thanks!

Need to narrow down to either the eng is locked up or an electrical issue live every 24 hour block of time like it's your last day on earth

Clean it if you have to or add another one from the battery to the block as well as one from the block to the frame. Also possible the starter nose cone broke and is in the way when trying to start. Also check your other connections. I had a starter pos cable nut back off at the starter that did what you are experiencing. Last edited by HealthServices; 05/13/09 03:14 PM. Allen Here's a novel idea, let's not throw a bunch of parts at the car hoping it will fix the problem and instead spend a little time diagnosing it first. Life was a little easier when I was just a wrench.
