Might be going to view a Challenger , no reason to doubt it but just checking this vin looks ok before I make the journey, ? the rivets etc

Looks like a replacement dash has been put on top is that why there’s a cutout there ?

Thanks for the help

Couldn't get the auction site, but yeah, it has a plastic dash cover.
That might be a sign of a cheap "restoration".

The actual V.I.N. tag looks ok to me, but as topside mentions, someone put a cheap repop dash cover over the original, most likely to hide
cracks or blemishes on the original dash pad.

Interesting - sold @ auction not quite 2 years ago, and on my birthday...
FWIW, the battery cut-off isn't NHRA-legal, so it probably wasn't drag-raced with that.
Fortunately, I can translate British laugh2, but didn't see the faults in the boot lid.
Looks like a pretty nice car in those photos.

Yeah, that's a dash cap. They look kinda crappy up close.

Just another quick question

How come some vins have that little star or asterix either side of the numbers and some don’t ?

So just double checking that vin tag looks ok before I buy ? The rivets etc

And that is a dash cover on top I assume ? Do the dash covers come like that with the cutout for the vin ?

Thanks
