Bought a '14 Caravan cheap as it had a couple small issues . One issue that needed addressed was an air door actuator. It would ratchet for about a minute, goes dormant like you shut it off, then the system would work. It had been replaced previous and not soon afterwards it acted up again. Now, with a new ADA, it no longer ratchets, but now I have to "cycle" the dual temp selectors back and forth ( it'll blow heat on the driver's side ) in unison to get them in sync I guess. After that, it's fine. 8 times out of 10 I have to do that.
Mechanic says he's researched a fix, but can't find one. Anyone ever have this happen after "fixing" it? I have learned I can do just the drivers' side one and get by with it.

Cycling the dual temp selectors back and forth in unison seems to be the YouTube fix but after that this video says to take it to the dealer........that should know this is supposed to a "common problem"

Well I need to thank you too as this situation happens on our 2007 (gen IV) Chrysler Town and Country and I would be blame for it. My wife in the passenger's seat at first would complain and ask "Why did you turn the heat on my side, it's 90 degrees out and hotter in here!" I would look at the A/C setting and it would right where she set it on her side?? We still have it and now I know what to try to maybe correct it the next time it happens. Thank you
Mike
