Ok fellas before I tear something up...just how does the llight swith knob come off on the 71 Demon? I looked for an allen screw, I pulled and I twisted , but to no avail. I have screwed with it sooo much, I am going to order a new switch just in case. I saw that the new switch does NOT have the stem sticking out of it that has the knob on it...can anione tell me what to do ?

There is a metal push-pin on the headlight switch housing itself. Push the pin in and pull out the knob which is connected to the the stem, it is one unit.

I may be wrong here but I believe that there is a button on the switch itself. You reach under the dash and snake your hand up to the side of the switch and push the button in while you jimmy the knob and stem out of the switch with your other hand. I have changed out switches on lots of cars and trucks so it is hard to remember. My Demon is in the body shop or I would look for you. I will try to find a switch in my stash and double check.

Ok...thank u for the quick reply. I will look for this push pin on teh body of teh light switch. Now secondly, I think that I may have bent this one too. Do either of you guys have a switch stem to sell me? I 'd hate to put the one I have been jerkin on back into the switch. Thanks again felllas
