Does anyone have an old 1974 Ramcharger heater core and heater box they'd sell me? I'd like to see if I can reman them since they're obsolete. Also if you know what the year range is for these specific heater cores, let me know.

Know of any other obsolete heater cores? I'd like to try to track those down too.

1972-1980 should work. It also depends if it AC or not. Worse case, I'd contact Glenn Ray Radiators or find a local shop to have your original one recored. Won't be cheap but, I hear he does good work? They do have reproduction ones for the non-AC truck but, I think they are hit and miss in quality from what I've read.

The 80 non ac cores are just about impossible to find Last one my son found was like 450.Ac ones are on rock auto and popular.

I have one that leaks out of my 74 Ramcharger (440 A/C truck)

the 72-80 truck heater core's for factory A/C trucks have been out of production for 6 or 7 years best I can tell. I had to buy a used one and have a local radiator shop soldier up some cracks. The one that came out of my truck appears to have had water in it and froze. It looked like an aquarium aerator when submerged and filled with air.

Luckily when I got my 79 and rebuilt the heater box a few years ago the aftermarket heater cores were floating around I easily got one for $39. The rad was a different story. They were just starting to sell the junk ones so I had to get it recored.

A competent radiator shop should be able to re-core it and repair the tanks if needed. or possibly look for a similar heater core that can be modified to fit twocents beer

iagree Problem is most people do not want to pay the price for a quality re-core or repair. They keep looking for the 29.99 Chinese junk cores.

The local radiator shop won't touch heater cores because they are tedious and time consuming. He pressure tests his work and they often spring new leaks and become a money pit.

Find a new shop, If the cores are leaking, replace them. No reason for them to leak after that.
We have ONE locally that really is a craftsman and his finished product shows it. Glen Ray may also be an option shruggy
And yes the 29.99 junk is just that.
