Beautiful car, love the color. Concourse gold at MCACN nothing to sneeze at . Car presents well, seems to drive well and understand why it is priced at $110K. If I were a 68 GTX nut probably couldn't get much better. Personally not my taste in body style and options other than the 4 spd.

That is nice. Wonder how many just like that they made? I bought a 340 formula s cuda from a fella that had a mirror car of that. I was sorta young and he took me for a ride. It looked stock but it ran dam well. I was used to my 69 darts dash and that GTX dash with the tach was something else. Funny the things that stick in our minds. Funny I just recalled his name and just hit google and found him easily.

Well, Corvette Mike is arguably the most expensive place to buy a vintage Vette - but he tends to have VERY nice and rare stuff. A fair amount of his clientele isn't exactly concerned with expense.
The car looks like a twin - if not the same car - to one that was previously discussed here; long thread, as the tedious hub cap debate droned on... Wasn't it about an $80-something-K car then ? I REALLY like the car, but at that $$$, I see a few nits to pick: Still seems to me like the carpet color is wrong, and should be much darker, closely matching kick panels. Rear seatbelt boots should be dark blue, not black. Upper dash pad texture is "off". I'd expect the FT to be painted, and a couple other minor details at that price - and with a Gold award. Being a Feb SPD - and I know the SPD isn't an ironclad birthdate - I'd expect it would not have an Inland shifter, but the Hurst OEM version. Amusingly, given the time-honored VIN tag debates here, the restorer didn't refinish the dash VIN tag - wonder if it was masked, or what ?

It went through some bit player auction early in the year. Don’t know the bid. It went through bat at 70k. Mecum Indy it went to 59k. I wonder about the bottom not being primer with overspray? For a gold level car that is.
I love it, but guy doesn’t seem to want to sell. I saw it hit their site at 100k. After Mecum it went up to 110k. Guess he wanted fees and transport money back. I pointed out it saves auction fees to sell private. Claims to have turned down 75k. I think that’s it for GTX. A 68 is behind 69 and 70 best I can tell. I also think a road runner is worth more these days.
I asked if it has original metal, specifically the quarters. Got typical dealer speak about “think so.” Requested pics and was told car isn’t there. I said not or bother the guy as I will not pay over market so no need to mess with pics if he isn’t ready to part with it.
I want my fair share

Also behind 69 and 70 R/T's Might be least valuable 68-70 HiPo B-body. Or maybe 68 R/T shares same price?
