Just wondering how things went at you're hotel in the carlisle or in the area?We stayed at a pretty relaxed hotel in carlisle, people could park their cars/trailers out front in well lit areas.People could sit outside hang out with friends etc..nice staff. We havnt been there since 2019....And that was a great experience however now we thought after a HOT day on the show field wouldn't it be nice to jump into the pool..eehhh no,the pump broke so no pool.Air conditioning in the resturant/cafeteria area and the first floor..eehhh no it was broke, fortunately we were on the second floor. The breakfast was pretty forgetable. My wife wanted to take a bath no stopper I ran downstairs and the lady had 1 rubber stopper 1960s ish dangling from her finger. The best part of this hotel experience was the people and their mopars!

We stay in Chambersburg, much cheaper. 5 motels to chose from. Used the one in Scotland but when it changed to Motel 6 went way down. I’ll add, good eaten places there too.

The hotel I stayed in was a 25 minute ride to the fairgrounds & much nicer than where I usually stay. I've only stayed right inside Carlisle a few times since I've been going to shows since the early 1980's. It used to be because there were hardly any hotels, but now it's because of how expensive it can be. I generally stay at the same place where 3 nights cost me around $225 total. If I wait too long to book the room like I did this year, they want close to $300 total. If I have to spend more then I want to be closer to the show. I actually don't care if the place is old & looks outdated as long as it's clean. I'm there for a car show & to get together with friends for dinner & a beer. All I want is a clean bed, a shower & to be close to a decent pub. This year my hotel had a restaurant & bar, was a 1/2 block from two other places to eat at, was $310 total & very nice. The parking was tight so I was glad I was in my car & not my truck.

Stayed in the Courtyard Marriott in Shippensburg. Yeah, it's a 20-mile trek, but the hotel was nice and peaceful and there was a bistro that was open until 10pm. Plus a Sheetz station not too far along the way in that I could fuel up and stock up at before arriving at the field. Stayed there too cause when I booked rooms in APRIL, all the close ones were gone. Nice place. REALLY decent foor (and drinks). I'd stay again. Ted Stephens and his crew were there too.

I stayed in Chambersburg also, $80/night at the Travelodge. A true fleebag motel with no breakfast or pool, but it did have a Mexican restaurant attached to it! It was fairly clean and the A/C worked, but had to be on constantly to keep the room at 72 degrees. Good shower and had trailer parking in the front, though only a couple could fit there. You had to go into the back alley or through the middle of the motel to get to the parking spots. The ice machine was always full!

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.
