I have all the powermaster stuff ( 16 volt battery XS powermaster alternator and battery charger ) no problems here. Car sees 17.8 volts all the time . Second pass off the trailer I went a easy 7.90 @ 194 MPH . Should work good in your car.

We are running a Kinetik Racing 16 volt battery and really like it. Has more cranking amps and load amps than all the other brands. We had a problem that we now know was caused by our battery charger (Turbo Start) and they replaced the battery with no questioned asked and all I had to send to them was the vent cover and the decal. They paid all the shipping. Great customer service! Thanks! MFR426

I've heard good things about the Powermaster batteries. We ran Turbostart batteries for years, and only had real problems seemingly as the parent company started to go downhill. I loved them. I'm still a big proponent of the 16v philosophy. In the Duster ( KB Hemi, fogger, Elec. h20 pump, 2 fuel pumps, Spal fan, 7531 ign, 10.5 tire, yadda yadda) , the pumps were "happier" at 16v. We did have issues on the day Ralph was trying to get his licence, so we swapped 2 12v batteries out of the F-250 diesel. We had one really bad battery that was dragging the other one down. In comparison, the fan almost seemed sluggish. The fuel pumps sounded anemic. And the car ran hot. We didn't see a big loss in performance, but then again, the car wasn't very consistent either. I say go for the Powermaster 16v system and follow their reccomendations.

Being an even poorer SS guy, we also use the 2 8V group 24 batts, wired in series, except we buy the "tractor" batteries, about $65 each, the 2 batts together weigh just slightly more than one 16V Turbostart style.

I had a 16 volt Turbo Start the only thing good about it was the charger. It works fine on the 16 Volt Rock battery. The 16V Rock battery has twice if not more power cranking the engine. I do not sell either battery, just trying to help everyone the Rock battery is Night and Day better than any other battery I have ever own.
