ok , i think theres more than plopping this 16 v battery in ..

the voltage regulator will limit the voltage to the coil and instruments so the 16 volt will
only feed the starter and coil in start position ?

I don't run that stuff ..I tried that years ago and I had poor luck so I use a charger between rounds with a battery/charger set up in the pits to charge/ run my fans, pumps, etc.

We run the poor mans 16v, 2 8v golf cart batts in series , no alt and dont charge between rounds, the batts cost around 120 each and are heavy as hell < wanted more weight aft anyhow> charge them up full the day before we run with no problems.car starts better , runs cooler and no problems seeing the gauges at night

Being an even poorer SS guy, we also use the 2 8V group 24 batts, wired in series, except we buy the "tractor" batteries, about $65 each, the 2 batts together weigh just slightly more than one 16V Turbostart style.

I ordered on of these Kenne Belle Boosta Pump systems ...

At least I wont have to charge the battery at the track

Maybe this is a good idea

I had a 16 volt Turbo Start the only thing good about it was the charger. It works fine on the 16 Volt Rock battery. The 16V Rock battery has twice if not more power cranking the engine.
I do not sell either battery, just trying to help everyone the Rock battery is Night and Day better than any other battery I have ever own.
