Since my GTX has been down ...broken input shaft on my 904 .... I started on my Wagon transformation, put my old engine in after Gus Schade (FourgearSavoy) refresh... and his guidance. This change Has fought me every step of the way !!! but its almost done

That looks like alot of fun to me, but of course it will be even more fun to drive when it's done.
Fantastic you've got a knowledgeable friend like him that we all virtually "know" (some know in real life) there to help out.

I am FOREVER grateful to my friends who helped me with this and many other projects, I enjoy working on them as much as driving them but, I get stuck often, and having my friends help means everything.

Thank You All, its been a real battle You aint kidding this one had some strange issues just one right after another but you never gave up the fight. I think it will be worth it when all the little things work out. Funny part is I even learned a few things on this project. I'm just glad we got it done before the cold weather hit so you can enjoy some nice weather drives in the fall. I was glad to help with your project we started a few years ago. Gus

I can't imagine me doing the K member engine mounted way of installing them into one of my cars due to my current limited shop space, how do you move the car over the engine on the K Member with no front wheels? Cab the car is on a lift and the drivetrain is on a dolly that is rolled under then the car is lowered onto the whole thing. The only tricky part was that wagon is a little tail heavy and we had to strap the front end down to the rack arms. Gus

the other option [if one doesn't have a lift] is to raise the front of the car using an engine crane attached to fabricated brackets attacked to the front rails where the bumper brackets would go. or hook the engine crane to the bottom of the core support in two places, as close to the front rails as possible. this may, or may not work for you, depending on what kind of engine crane you have. in particular, how wide the spread of the legs are. another option, [this one will raise the hair on the back of your neck to some out there. ] if your garage rafters are stout and exposed, get a piece of 2" or 3" water pipe around 6-8 feet long, and place on the top of the rafters. then, use a set of chain blocks to hook to the core support and hoist away. a couple of "post jacks" can be used under the rafters next to the car to help support the weight. when it comes right down to it, the front of the car really doesn't weigh very much when lifted this way. above all, BE SAFE ! do NOT get under the car if it doesn't have any safety stands of any kind supporting the body ! we don't want to LOSE any member[s] here !
