Sounds awesome! So you let off the clutch pedal, and pull the shifter 3 times. I let off the brake pedal and pull the shifter 2 times. We do the same amount of footwork during a pass, you are closer to an automatic than you might realize. All you need is the magic viscous torque multiplier full of dustless red fluid. Have a great weekend of racing! I think Clark has a point. Don't have to use the clutch to shift it, straight line shifter, almost like a girlymatic. But still has the man peddle hanging down below.

I hear ya. "If you did this or this you could go quicker." But like you. Mine is what it is. I'm assuming it has 14x32? 13x31 or 10.5W x 31 may be the next tire to try when these are done. That would put you around 7000 thru the lights. Heck mine ran 7250 with the 4.30. Now with the 4.10 it, around 7050. For sure it knocked .02 off the 60ft. It'll still go 1.26-1.27 on a good day. But it has been very consistant with the 12" wheels and 4.10. Your tuning journey is still very new. Maybe a touch more wheel speed. Your's recovers from 60-300 very well. It almost matches mine by 330 and even at 660. It took me years to get in the 9.0's. Pretty damn impressive. for comparison this was last year with the 4.30 in July air Doug

Doug, the car has 14x32’s. Clutch guy wants 10.5’s on the car. I want a tire that hooks everywhere I go. I’m just fine with the lower rpm at the stripe. Why wear the engine out faster, when it’s a bracket car, and running consistent?

I'm still laughing at Clark's dustless transmission fluid comment. Great job, you had a successful weekend. So happy the car has been so consistent and reliable for you, you built a killer hot rod!

True on both counts. Mine will hook anywhere on 10.5's what rpm do you shift at? Doug I leave at 5000, and shift at 7000.

Be careful if its goes any faster you'll have to buy a chute. Lol No worries. I already have one for it. Car was set up for a chute when I built it.

Here are a few more videos from Brainerd. First Round bye run. Ran 9.09 @ 147mph. DA was 4400 all day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAZgvx0WgHgSecond Round. Got paired up with my buddy Glen (aka 72Blubird on Moparts) Saw he redlit, and ran the car out, to a 9.10 @ 146mph https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YDZbm5zOoMThe HERO pass. Ran a 9.03 on Saturday morning with a DA of 3700ft. When I got back to the trailer, I couldn't text ole J Body fast enough to let him know the ET... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqNidUdG79YI'm happy the car is finally working well. Probably should have done a weekend write up. I lost 3rd round with a -.006 redlight. Sucks as the car was dead on in the heat. Ran a 9.09, 9.10, and a 9.09 in eliminations. Darn inconsistent stick cars...

I’ve been shamed again….. fun stuff Jeff! Where ya headed next?? Will be going back to Brainerd, for Labor Day Weekend. They have a 3 race series over the Holiday Weekends, and as of now I am first in points in the Manual Transmission class. IF I can pull off the Championship in the class, it gives me a Gold Card for next years races, and a Jacket. No big payout, but it's something I've wanted to try and do for a long time.
